I just finished a new AMV a few days ago and finally uploaded it to youtube.

I just finally got my hands on this song after wanting to make a FFX video with it for ages. My family really liked it and I'm fairly happy with it, though there are a few things I might change if I ever have a decent amount of free time again. :D I hope that you enjoy if you watch it.

I'm loving Google's new browser. It's faster than Firefox and is a heck of a lot nicer than Internet Destroyer. :D Though, the new IE8 is pretty cool too, though I don't like how much space the menus take up.

It seems the theme of the day is how many times can my family ignore me when I'm talking. I just so love being ignored and if I had a dollar for every time I have been ignored I'd be quite wealthy.

I'm really loving Staind's new album: Illusion of Progress. "The Corner" has to be my favorite song on it. I'm not sure how I feel about Coldplay's new one, yet. I have a few songs I like, but the album's a bit weird and unfortunately I can't really get any AMV ideas from it. I already have one for Believe on Staind's new album. But don't get me wrong, I still like Coldplay's new album, it's just very different. :)

Kind of reminds me of things you would see in a scifi. Pretty all the same and an interesting idea. I just somehow doubt it will make it over here. I like the idea of "bio-mimicry". It would be nice for us to learn how to live alongside nature and still be able to develop new technology--especially when it uses nature as a model.

Our school just had about 40 laptops donated to them and my fellow TA and I get the joy of installing Windows XP on each of them. It's kind of fun, actually. I guess that just proves how much of a geek I am. I feel kind of like a hacker with three laptops and a desktop all on.

I'm happy for the teachers. It should make things easier for them. :)

I have to make a very difficult decision for this semester. Both options suck in my opinion. The choices are to take just the two classes that I have registered for and be stuck at school another year after this one and take two extra classes just to make sure I'm going half-time or add one more class that is highly advised to be taken separately from one of the classes I'm already registered for. The one class I'm already registered for is an unofficial prerequisite for the other. Plus both classes are going to be very difficult and require ridiculous amounts of work. I really want to keep my 4.0 GPA and remain in the honor society I'm in, but if I don't take this extra class then I'll be wasting money on two classes I don't need. There's no way I can schedule the two classes I'm already registered for another semester because my school only offers them in the Fall semester and I would just be stuck in the same situation I'm already in. If I add this one class I can graduate at the end of this year if I pass it. Also, I can add this class and if I do terrible in it, I can always drop it, wasting my money, but avoiding a drop in my GPA.

I'm really not sure what to do. I kind of bounce back in forth between the two choices. I emailed the teacher of the two brutal classes to see what she thinks, but I doubt she's going to reply anytime soon as she is on vacation. She might not even get my email until it's too late. She did however, strongly advise me last semester not to take the two classes together. I believe she said that she thinks I could handle it, but it wouldn't be a good idea to do it. I told her my situation now in the email and I hope she replies soon.

I would also appreciate advice that any of you could give me. This is a really tough decision.

The weekend was pretty nice. I just sort of took it easy. My best guy friend is going to stick with CIT and we're going to try to work out a way to fix the problem he was having.

Today was pretty nice too. I went to see Hellboy 2 with my friend. It's kind of ironic that he sort of dragged me to it and I loved it more than him. If anything, I think he was disappointed. I wasn't. I didn't have very high expectations. The action sequences were awesome and as expected, I really liked the bad guy--he kicked butt and was the reason the action sequences were so awesome.

I spent most of the day with my friend. We had fun. I watched him play Portal and Half-Life 2 (which sadly looks really hard). It was kind of strange, but once I got back to the house and I walked in I could feel a wall of negativity hit me quite strongly. It was like the tension level just shot up to the roof. I've never experienced that before, but I think it was because my mom and brother had just gotten into a fight. But wow! It was a strange sensation. I guess families are like that. :\ I know when I was away at college I would go a nice two weeks without a major fight happening, but at home I'm lucky if I go a day. :( We all love one another of course, but maybe we're just kind of tired of each other. :) It's a family member's duty to be the one that outside tension is taken out on. ;) But I love my family. I just wish we didn't argue so much. I guess it's because we are all too much alike.

But overall, things seem to be going better. ::knock on wood:: Now if my family can just get along maybe I'll have a more peaceful week.

Sucky Week

Here's to a sucky week almost being over. Or maybe I should call it a week of disappointments. Iaido fell through, so that won't be happening, since the instructors have lost their honor in my eyes, so I can give up on that. Also next semester could really suck as my best guy friend in strongly considering dropping out of the CIT program because our school is messed up in the head. So, here's to hoping that next week is a great improvement.

I can't believe how stormy this summer is. It seems like everyday we are having thunderstorms. I personally think this is awesome, but I love stormy weather. We also very much needed the rain. Now if we can just get rid of the heat, I'll be happy. :)

I was searching around on onemanga.com and found a Korean manga that is starting to strike my interest. It's called Ares and I don't think it has been licensed here yet. I like how the characters are wearing modernesque clothing and yet they live in medieval towns and carry swords.

It didn't take long, but I think I've found a character that I like: warning--gore You win a cookie if you can guess which one. :)

Anyway, I think I'll read some more of this. I never thought I'd get into a Korean manga.

Today is such a beautiful day outside. It's a bit warm in the sun, but there's a nice breeze blowing. I'm going to try to take a walk today after I get off of work.

I've also found Spira calling me. This started a few days ago, but the weather isn't helping it. It's weird, I know, but I'm just getting the urge to play FFX again. It's amazing that a game can stay a part of my obsession for so long. I mean, I'm not as obsessed with it as I once was, but it still has a big place in my heart. I guess it's kind of like a really good book that you have no problem going back to over and over. I just really love the world of Spira and the dreamer in me would love to see it for real, though I realize that will never happen unless in a dream.

And speaking of dreams. I had a pretty interesting one last night. It kind of reminded me of Tsubasa a little before CLAMP made it weird. The character that I was in the dream was very similar to a strong sort of Syaoran. And he/I was in charge of protecting some princess that did actually resemble Sakura. In fact, I think my character looked like a combination of Syaoran and Tidus if Tidus had light brown hair. The hair style was similar. The person I was, was quiet and stoic, but not a wall of intimidation like most characters who are like that. I wish I could remember more details from the dream, but it was pretty cool. It definitely makes up for the weird Chocobo dream.
